The
LP668D is a naturally aspirated diesel designed to provide
optimum power at lower RPMs, extending the life of the engine
and providing comfort aboard. It has earned a reputation for
exceptional fuel efficiency.
The
LP668D features built-in protection against the rigors of
long hours and high demands. Effective lube oil, air, and
fuel filtration systems top the list. When rebuild time finally
does come, the LP668D's wet cylinder liners allow it to be
done in place.
The
LP668D has a proven track record in tough duty commercial
vessels and in cicumnavigating pleasure boats. This engine
often logs 20,000 to 35,000 hours (or roughly six trips around
the world!) before overhaul.
