The Lugger L6108A2 is turbocharged and aftercooled, with replaceable dry cylinder liners, a cast iron cylinder head, and an inline Bosch-type fuel injection pump.

Built with long hours in mind, the L6108A2 has almost no hoses, a freshwater cooled exhaust manifold, a gear driven seawater pump, cupronickel heat exchanger and coolant filter with ph and electrolysis protection.

The L6108A2 has a heavy-duty viscous filled damper, which controls torsionals and vibration.

Like the L445 and L668 series, the L6108A2 is equipped with a vapor trap rocker arm cover to keep its white finish and the rest of your engine room clean and oil residue free. An accessory drive for the alternator and freshwater pump frees the crankshaft to drive other shipboard equipment.
