Hundested
Hundested
Propeller is a Danish company based on the island of Zeeland, not far
from the Danish capital of Copenhagen. Founded in 1929, it was originally
called Jørgensen & Højsgaard Engineering Company.
Today we are known as Hundested Propeller A/S. In the beginning Hundested
Propeller carried out repair and maintenance work on fishing vessel
engines.
Later
Hundested built its own engines, the first being a 22 HP diesel.
Throughout the years the largest engine built was a three
cylinder 400 HP model. With the increasing engine power the
propellers had to be improved.
Hundested
began to manufacture its own controllable pitch propellers,
the product in which the company specializes in today. Controllable
pitch propeller systems are now Hundested's core business.
In
1985 Hundested introduced their line of thrusters and more
than 300 thrusters have been delivered in sizes from 25 to
1350 HP.
Hundested
offers complete propeller nozzles, line shaft bearings, and
flexible couplings. The propeller units can be approved by
all major classification societies. Furthermore, Hundested
maintains a large stock of replacement parts, which ensures
prompt delivery anywhere in the world. Hundested also provides
a high level of support services.
More
than 8,000 propeller units have been supplied to the leading
engine makers, and to nearly all types of vessels: Fishing
vessels, government patrol boats, cargo vessels, tugs, ferries,
training ships, yachts, etc.
Hundested
Multi Pitch Propellers are supplied in various sizes to suit
engines from 150 HP to approx. 3200 HP. The propellers can
be adapted to suit individual requirements.
Hundested
sells throughout the world, and has a network of international
agents to provide sales and services.
