Marine Power Specialists
Whiting Power Systems service, support and sell a comprehensive
range of marine diesels, gearboxes, drive systems, gensets,
air-conditioners, heaters, pumps, mounts and filters, and
provide marine engineering services to cover all aspects of
custom design, installation, refit, rebuild, maintenance,
repair and problem resolution. The company has proven expertise
with powered and sailing vessels between 6 and 60 metres (20-200ft)
and references are available on request.
Our
showroom, warehouse, engineering workshop and offices are
centrally located in the heart of Auckland City's vibrant
working waterfront, within Orams Marine Village, Westhaven.
Westhaven hosts New Zealand's largest and most comprehensive
marine cluster group and all services required to support
a maintenance or refit programme are available on site or
located conveniently close by. Westhaven Marina, Viaduct Harbour,
the city's central business district and adjacent residential
suburbs are only a short walk away.
A sixty tonne travel-lift, hardstand, two slipways up to 600
tonnes capacity and dedicated painting sheds are available
on site, and syncro-lift and dry dock services are located
in Devonport less than two miles away.
 The
company is geared to work at all levels; from the scheduled
servicing of vessels berthed in Westhaven marina to replacing
bearings, shafts and engines on the hardstand, or coordinating
extensive refit contracts ex-Europe.
Engineering
support is offered throughout the Pacific basin and spares
or replacement equipment can be freight forwarded to any destination
serviced by a plane or ship. Technical teams are available
to assist with repairs and carry out installations throughout
the South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand.
Our
dedicated Superyacht Services division coordinates with designers,
owners, captains, engineers and contractors to make every
repair or refit a well managed success. We have serviced,
upgraded or partially refitted over 30 superyachts and many
references are on file.
Strategic
relationships with supporting trades and local services allow
large contracts to
proceed with maximum efficiency by providing the flexibility
to pool skills and resources. Whiting Power Systems, General
Marine Services and Electrics Afloat co-founded Integrated
Marine Group to create a consortium with a wealth of practical
experience in the electronic, electronic control, fluid systems,
diesel engineering and mechanical engineering fields. Whiting
Power Systems is also a member of the Westhaven Refit Destination
Group.
The company has over 25 employees: they include qualified
engineers, machinists, fitters, electricians, plumbers, hydraulic
specialists, air conditioning specialists, project managers,
sales engineers and administration staff. This wide skill
